Product Details:

EN8 forged steel, also known as 080M40, is a medium carbon steel with good tensile strength and toughness. Its properties include a carbon content around 0.36–0.44%, and mechanical properties that can vary with heat treatment, but generally offer moderate strength and hardness. Key characteristics are its ability to be heat-treated for enhanced surface hardness (flame/induction hardening) and a tough core, along with good machinability. Common applications include gears, shafts, bolts, and other components requiring mechanical stress resistance.  Key Properties
